There is nothing that brings joy in content creation than witnessing your growth, which are reflected in the number of followers or subscribers you are amassing every other time.
I’ve witnessed content creators grow their pages from hundreds to millions of followers in a very short period of time.
And while observing these kinds I realized they have two things in common. In other words, two things has been responsible for their growth.
And the reason you are not growing as a content because you are not implementing these two things.
So I though it wise to share these two things with you in this article, and without much ado, follow me as I explore the 2 things that are preventing you from growing as a content creator.
I also have this article as a tutorial on YouTube, and if you the kind that gets bored in reading, you can watch the video below.
The 2 things preventing you from growing as a content creator.
The 2 things that are preventing you from growing as a content creator are, inconsistency and irrelevance. Permit me to shedmore light on these 2 things.
Inconsistency.
As a content creator, being consistent is the key to growing on any social media platform, and this simply implies your ability to create and publish content back-to-back.
Now, one secret most of us do not understand is that, all the social media platforms are in a competition to have the highest number of visitors so they could maintain the top spot. And their ability to do this lies on having serious content creators who are creating the kinds of content that draw people’s attention and keep them glued to the platform.
So once they spot you as that kind of creator, they will immediately recommend your content to the right audience who will engage with it.
But if you are an on-and-off creator, that is the kind that drops content occasionally, they will not pay any attention to you, and when that happens, there is no way you are going to grow asa content creator on their platform.
You’ll often hear content creators saying “content is king”,and this simply means your ability to keep on creating content because it holds the key to success for all content creators.
2. Irrelevance.
Being irrelevant as a content creator simply means that you are not creating the kind of content that is up-to-date or aligns with what people are picking interest at the moment.
It also goes to say that your content are old-fashioned and you are trying to take people back in time or back to the days.
You need to understand that the only thing constant in this world is change, and you need to adjust appropriately, if you want to stay current.
For instance, few years ago, nobody here online was talking about AI or Chat GPT because it wasn’t in existence, but today no one can measure the AI content on this cyberspace because of the effects or impacts it is having on everyone.
Another example I can quickly relate is in the fashion sphere. I remember when we were younger, that is in the 90’s, we used to wear all those over-sized jeans and polos, but today the case is different because we are wearing what we call “tiny jeans’ and body fit polos.
So imagine you as a content creator in the fashion niche creating content about over-sized jeans and polos today, who do you think will pay any mind to you.
So in essence, you need to check your niche and discover what is trending, that is, what people are putting more interest in and create your content around those if you want to be relevant.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, being consistent and relevant is the key to growing as a content creator.
Consistency is when you are able to create content back-to-back, and relevance is when your content aligns with people’s interest at the moment.
Good luck!
