Female Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, simply known as Hilda Baci, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.

This record was previously set by an Indian Chef known as Lata Tondon, in 2019 when she cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes.

However, Nigeria’s own Hilda Baci set a new record at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, when she cooked for 100 hours.

Hilda began her cooking marathon challenge which she tagged “cokk-a-thon” on Friday, 12th May, 2023 at the Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State.
